COOLcams

Looking for the latest pictures from the shore?

Here in the COOLroom, we're bringing the technology of today to everyone who uses the ocean. Throughout the year, we have a myriad of cameras set up in and around the real COOLroom, the summer home of the COOL scientists. The COOLroom is the mission control room at the Rutgers Marine Field Station in old Coast Guard station near Tuckerton, NJ.

From here, you will be able to see scientists at work, watch as boats sail through Great Bay, and even peak through an underwater camera to give you a sense of the ocean's visibility.

Right now we have the following cameras in operation:

Rutgers Boat Docks* - Located at the Rutgers University Marine Field Station

The LEO-15 Underwater Camera* - See the ocean floor 45 feet under the waves
(Currently experiencing technical problems)

*These cameras currently require Netscape Navigator to be viewed properly.

Our friends at Stevens Institute of Technology have additional cameras right on New Jersey's Beaches. (Their cameras should be accessible by all browsers.)
